On behalf of the members of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association, Inc., it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. We are honored by your visit and hope you will find the information posted enjoyable and enlightening.
The Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association, Inc. provides outreach to prospective students, conducts fundraising activities for our scholarships, supports alumni giving efforts, and undertakes service projects to uplift the community. Our chapter has continued to live “The Standard of Excellence” instilled in us by our Alma Mater, Hampton University.
Your support enables the chapter to provide scholarships to local students through our Northern Virginia Chapter Scholarship and the James and Lelia Freeman Endowed Scholarship. The chapter is proud of its continued support of Hampton University by giving back and providing over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships since receiving our charter almost 40 years ago. We thank you and welcome your continued support of our activities to raise money for Hampton University and local area students.
We have some exciting activities and events in the coming months to support our purpose which is providing financial support to Hampton University and recruiting students to attend Hampton University. Please visit our site often to learn more about our upcoming activities.
Membership NOVA is open to Alumni, Parents and Supporters. Our chapter year starts in September and concludes in June. Our chapters goal is to have 150 active members, please join us and get involved -- there's something for everyone to do...trust me. General Body meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 7 PM and are usually held at the Richard Byrd Library in Springfield VA, but please check this website for the exact location. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Thank You,
Marcy Jackson, Class of 1990
